Why India needs a strong Prime Minister?

We are proud of our Motherland

Upon knowing India’s rank as the second-most populous country in the world, a boy asked his mother on why we are still not a developed or a strong nation. Below is the scenario explained in the form of a poem:

You told maa that there is STRENGTH in numbers,

But why then our country India is still in slumbers?

The boy continued…

We have a rich heritage to pride for,

Our YOGA has given a reason for everyone to smile for.

Saints and philosophers are our treasures,

They taught us the way to tackle difficult situations with common measures.

What others treat with expensive medicines and high side-effect,

We simply treat with our own Ayurveda and make our present PERFECT!!

Amazed at her son’s questioning, the maa replied:

Although India has completed her 66 years of Independence,

But its progress is marred by FDI dependence.

Our natural resources have been exploited beyond repair,

We now pray to God just to manage our own affair.

Corruption has become the new deity of the town,

With youths shying to vote and letting us down.

Though cows are labeled as sacred, but are no longer treated as a mother with respect,

With rote-based education, there is less emphasis to understand and inquire the subject,

Politicians now play caste-based politics, full of greed, ego, and no introspect,

Economic growth has created more of a barrier, with common man suffering from grief and neglect.

Girls are treated as an object of desire,

As neighboring countries continue to violate ceasefire.

Smoking, drinking, scams and use of pesticides are on the rise,

However, the silence and inaction of the people on these issues is a BIG surprise…

My tears flow down seeing the present state of our nation,

It sometimes feels like as if our Prime Minister is on vocation.

We have suffered a lot in the hands of incompetent administers,

India, therefore, needs a Chandragupta-like ruler as a STRONG Prime Minister…

On this Independence Day, apart from flying kites, watching movies, and enjoying the holiday, let’s also take a PLEDGE that:

  • INDIA is our country and we will not wait for it to get spoilt
  • We take pride in our heritage,
  • We would broaden our vision and deepen our roots, and
  • We would be innovative in our endeavors

Jai Maa Bharati, Vande Mataram!!

The current generation is not interested in voting as well as being a politician. I think every youth in this country should at least try once to be a politician (good one of course). Because a lot of wrong people are capable of getting elected and they are the only ones who spoil the name – Politician.

I agree with you Pravin. But the fact is that good people keep on THINKING the plus and minus of their acts and the bad ones take the lead with their immediate ACTION. So, basically it is the inaction by the good people that hurts a society. I am confident that this situation will improve soon. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your feedback Namrata 🙂 It’s difficult but I try to stay POSITIVE in every situation and then think of the next course of action rather than get bogged down by the events.
